Writing is my second act. As a kid, reading was just about my favorite thing to do. (It was at least in the top five.) I was the kid who never went anywhere without a book and would read the back of the cereal carton right down to the thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1.) I’m writing about food subjects: from how it’s grown to cooking, to food traditions.
I haved retired from thirty plus years as an analytical chemist providing accurate data for the environmental, regulatory, and agricultural industries. My data contributed to the cleanup and monitoring of chemical waste, monitoring pesticide residues on produce, and providing accurate data used to determine safe levels of pesticide use in agriculture.
My hobbies include cooking, gardening, beekeeping, and soap-making. And as always, reading!
